I've always been drawn to the exciting and ever evolving world of IT, and after some consideration and dedication to learning more about the industry, I have committed myself to changing careers from Carpentry into this exciting field to blend my passions and hobbies with my professional life for a much greater quality of life.
From an early age, I found myself mesmerized by computers, gadgets, and the endless possibilities they offer. I dove headfirst into learning everything I could about operating systems like Mac OS, Linux, and Windows. Coding became a creative outlet for me, and I quickly gained proficiency in Basic and C#, building foundations for my future IT endeavors.
Over the years, I've developed a diverse skill set that encompasses a wide range of IT tasks. From installing and managing Linux distributions to troubleshooting internet connectivity issues, I love diving deep into the intricacies of technology. I pride myself on my ability to restore backups and system images, ensuring smooth operations and peace of mind for all of my machines and for the people I support.
But my love for IT goes beyond software – I'm a hands-on enthusiast. As a hobby, I've enjoyed repairing tablets, computers, and phones, and I've honed my skills in building custom gaming PCs. I also have experience restoring older machines to their optimal configuration and getting peak performance out of them.
Throughout my journey, I've had the privilege of providing tech support to family and friends, assisting them remotely to resolve their technical challenges. I find immense joy in helping others navigate the intricate landscape of technology, ensuring they fully enjoy the benefits it provides.
To complement my practical experience, I've pursued certifications to further validate my expertise. I hold the esteemed CompTIA A+ and Network+ credentials, as well as the CIOS Stackable Certification for IT Operations Specialist. These achievements illustrate my dedication to professional growth and continuous learning in the ever-evolving IT industry.
In addition to my technical skills, I bring a unique perspective to the table. As a committed half marathon runner, I possess traits that align perfectly with the demands of the IT world.
